The Truckee Tahoe Airport District’s Airport Community Team (ACT) meeting on February 12 focused on ongoing aircraft noise concerns and the community’s frustrations over increasing jet traffic. Residents, pilots, and airport officials engaged in an open discussion about noise abatement efforts, air traffic management, and the airport’s responsiveness to complaints. ➤ Read the full article here

KTRK is inviting community members to attend the ACT Meeting on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. This meeting will focus on noise and annoyance and aim to engage stakeholders across the community in a constructive dialogue about noise.

Altaport, an airport services company, has partnered with Truckee-Tahoe Airport to help transient pilots easily find and book available hangar space. Their new platform identifies underutilized hangars, making short-term aircraft storage more accessible for pilots on the go. ➤ Read More

The opening exhibit for the next Art at the Airport installment will be held Wednesday, January 29 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Airport Terminal Building. The theme is Moods in Monochrome. This is a chance for the community to engage will local artists.

At the January 22, 2025 Board of Directors meeting, the Truckee Tahoe Airport Board selected David Diamond and Mary Hetherington to serve as President and Vice President respectively. 

The Truckee Tahoe Airport District (TTAD) is setting a new standard for sustainable aviation in 2025. From being the first airport in the U.S. to exclusively offer sustainable aviation jet fuel (SAF) to achieving a 31% reduction in aviation fuel emissions, TTAD is leading the charge toward net-zero aviation practices. ➤ Watch Now

KTRK is requesting qualifications from individuals interested in leasing space from the District on a multi-year basis for a lounge space in the terminal building.

Since 1958, the Truckee Tahoe Airport District has been an integral part of the community of Truckee and North Lake Tahoe.  Located at 5,900 feet, in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range, we are connected by more than a runway!  With a dedicated team and volunteers, we are highly aligned with our mission.
