Once a year senior citizens from eight different counties around eastern Kentucky gathered at the Knott Co Sports Plex to have the see old friends and have a chance to compete for some hardware.
The Pulaski Schools food service director said they work with the library and other organizations to provide breakfast, lunch and other meals to students.
With subjects ranging from science, math, English, art, music, technology and social studies, the program included students from around the region in the conversation about Appalachia’s future workforce.
As pro-Palestinian protests pop up across college campuses, including right here at the University of Kentucky, many Jewish students are trying to have their voices heard.
“There wasn’t really much going through my mind,” Jacen Post said. “I just thought back to the training that we had earlier in the summer and I just put it into action. You don’t really think too much about what you’re doing. It’s more so just muscle memory. We hear the call for help and we jump in and go over and help.”
