The club is a relaxed, friendly and inclusive sailing club. A happy place for all to enjoy in the sheltered waters of Chichester Harbour. Perfect for learning to sail, refreshing rusty skills, and also still enjoyable for the more experienced user of the water.
Dell Quay welcomes New Members
Dell Quay Sailing Club welcomes all those that enjoy water based activities to this idyllic setting, perfect for starting your exploration of the harbour. There is a floating pontoon which serves as a great launch point, accessible from the club house with it’s superb views of the harbour.

In a picturesque location
The club itself is in one of the most picturesque locations to be found in Chichester harbour. The harbour’s 22 square miles of water offers a variety of destinations and of course easy access to the Solent and the English Channel with all their possible cruising destinations.
Dinghy racing at Dell Quay
Sailing events run all year round with racing for adults and juniors, a junior training week during the summer holidays, the very active Women on the Water (WOW) group and dinghy cruising aroun the harbour.
The comprehensive racing programme includes class and handicap series, several open events and the highlight of the season, the annual Dell Quay Sailing Club Regatta.
Model Yachts
There are regular race meetings for two classes of radio controlled yachts – the 8M and Victoria. There are also training events, fun days and handicap races which always finish with tea and cakes.

Rowing at Dell Quay
The club owns a Celtic Longboat which is usable by all members. Rows are organised any day of the week by a large group of active rowers. We participate in harbour rowing get togethers and races organised by us and other clubs. We even pop SeaFox onto the road trailer and partake in races like the Cockleshell Challenge, Round Hayling and others.
But you dont have to be a racer, most days are just a fun row where we may take in an ice cream in Bosham a pint at Itchenor SC or a coffee at Chichester YC
Dell Quay RYA Training Center
A benefit of membership is discounted RYA courses. Training courses are provided on both power and sail to members
through the club’s RYA Training Centre.
DQSC Cruiser moorings
The Club has a number of moorings for hire to members.
We have a strong Cruiser fleet at Dell Quay. Each year we run a full rally programme that consists of day sails, local overnight stops and more remote destinations. Come and join us and get involved we visit some great spots and always finish the day with a drink, meal and a catch up.
Comfortable in our environment
The harbour and its environs are designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a Site of Special
Scientific Interest, where boating activity happily co-exists with internationally important numbers of
wild fowl which make their permanent or seasonal home in its diverse habitats.
Caring for our Environment
DQSC is committed to decreasing our impact on the environment, become sustainable and continue down
our Pathway to Carbon Zero. We target this through Energy Conservation, Water Conservation,
Waste Management, being Single Use Plastic Free, Pollution Prevention, Biosecurity and Habitat and
Wildlife Protection.
Social activity on the water
The club runs social sailing & paddle sports on Friday evenings
“Feel Good Fridays” through the summer season where tides are suitable, attracting many existing
members to just mess about on the water enjoying their sport on a summer’s evening followed by a meal
from the Galley.
