* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of western Kentucky, including the following
counties, Ballard, Carlisle, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Marshall and
McCracken and southeast Missouri, including the following county,
Mississippi.

* WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 956 PM CDT, emergency management reported that numerous
state and county roads across the warned area remain closed
due to high water.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Paducah, Mayfield, Charleston, Benton, East Prairie, Cairo,
Calvert City, Fulton, Hickman, Clinton, La Center, Bardwell,
Wickliffe, Lone Oak, Reidland, Towosahgy State Historic Site,
Big Oak Tree State Park, Barlow, Wyatt and Anniston.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 47.0 feet, Property damage begins on the the Illinois
and Kentucky sides of the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 46.5 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:00 PM CDT Thursday was 46.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 48.0
feet Thursday, April 17.
- Flood stage is 39.0 feet.
